How to post a marketplace listing

Posting a listing on TimeFotos lets you sell items, give things away, post wanted ads, or list services — all visible to people in your city.

Before you start

  • Sign in to your account.
  • Make sure your city is set correctly so your listing appears in the right local hub.
  • Have photos and a clear description ready — listings with photos get more responses.

Steps to post

  1. Go to your city’s marketplace
From the app or site, open your city hub and click Marketplace (or Post listing / + Post).

  2. Choose a category
    Select the type of listing:

    • Free — Give items away at no cost
    • For Sale — Sell items at a price you set
    • Wanted — Ask for something you’re looking for
    • Cars, Rentals, Pets, Jobs, Services, Real Estate, etc.
  3. Add details

    • Title — Short, clear title (e.g. “Gray sectional sofa, excellent condition”).
    • Description — Condition, size, why you’re selling, pickup location, etc.
    • Price — Set a price or mark as free. Some categories have a small listing fee.
    • Photos — Upload at least one clear photo; multiple angles help.
  4. Review and publish
Check the listing for accuracy, then click Publish or Post. Your listing goes live in your city’s marketplace.

After posting

  • Respond to messages — Buyers or interested users will contact you through TimeFotos messaging. Reply promptly.
  • Mark as sold or claimed — When the item is gone, mark the listing as sold/claimed so others stop inquiring.
  • Edit or delete — You can usually edit or remove your listing from your account or the listing page.

Tips for a good listing

  • Use a descriptive title with key details (brand, condition, size).
  • Be honest about condition and any flaws.
  • Good lighting and multiple photos increase interest.
  • Set a fair price (or “free”) and mention if you’re open to offers.
