How to create a project album and add photos

This guide walks you through creating a new project (tied to a job address) and adding photos to it in TimeFotos.

Create a new project album

  1. Go to Project Albums
Sign in and open BusinessProject Albums (or CRMProject Albums from the sidebar).

  2. Click “New project” or “Create project”
    You’ll be asked for:

    • Job address — The street address for the job. This is the core of the project; everything (photos, estimates, invoices) is tied to this address.
    • Project name — A short name you’ll recognize (e.g. “Smith kitchen remodel”, “123 Oak St – roof”).
    • Customer (optional) — Link a client so their info appears on estimates and invoices.
  3. Save
The project is created and you’re taken to the project details page (or the photos page to add photos).

Add photos to the project

  1. Open the project
From the Project Albums list, click the project card to open it.

  2. Go to Photos
In the project details view, open the Photos tab or click Add photos / Upload photos.

  3. Upload photos

    • Web: Use the upload area to select files from your computer. You can upload multiple at once.
    • App: Use the TimeFotos mobile app to capture or upload photos; they’ll sync to the same project if you’re signed in and have the project selected.
  4. Set visibility (optional)
For each photo you can mark it as Public (visible to the client and optionally in your portfolio) or Private (only for your team). This controls what appears on the client share link and in public project albums.

  5. Annotate (optional)
You can add annotations — draw, highlight, or label — directly on a photo from the project photos view. Use this to point out issues, progress, or details for the client or your crew.

Tips

  • Use a clear job address — Estimates, work orders, and invoices will reference this address.
  • Upload as you go — Add photos from the jobsite so the project stays up to date and you have timestamped documentation.
  • Public vs private — Keep internal or sensitive photos private; set only the ones you want the client to see as public.
