How to share a project with your client
TimeFotos lets you send your client a share link to their job. They can open it in a browser and see the photos, progress, and documents you’ve made visible — no account, no app, no login.
Why use a client share link?
- No login for the client — They click the link and view. No signup or app download.
- Read-only — They can’t edit or delete anything; they only see what you’ve shared.
- Always up to date — When you add new public photos or documents to the project, they see the latest when they open the link.
- Professional — One link per job keeps everything in one place and looks clean.
How to get and send the share link
-
Open the project
Go to Project Albums and open the project (job) you want to share. -
Find the share option
On the project details page, look for Share, Client share link, Share with client, or an icon that looks like a link or share. Click it. -
Generate or copy the link
- If it’s the first time sharing, TimeFotos may generate a unique link for this project.
- Copy the link (e.g.
https://timefotos.com/...or your app’s share URL).
-
Send the link to your client
Paste it into an email, text, or message. You can send it whenever you’re ready for them to see the job.
What does the client see?
- Photos — Only photos you’ve set as Public for that project. Private photos are not shown.
- Documents — Any documents you’ve attached and made visible for the client.
- Progress / updates — Depending on how you use the project, they may see captions, dates, or order of photos so they can follow progress.
They do not see your estimates, work orders, invoices, internal notes, or team chat unless you use a separate process (e.g. emailing a PDF). The share link is for viewing the job (photos and shared docs), not for editing or paying.
Revoking or changing the link
If your product supports it, you may be able to regenerate or revoke the share link from the same project share settings. That way, the old link stops working and only the new link (if any) does. Check the Share or Client share section on the project for options.
