How to message a seller or buyer

TimeFotos messaging lets you contact sellers (or buyers) about marketplace listings without sharing your personal email or phone in the listing.

Starting a conversation

Open a listing you’re interested in (as a buyer) or that you posted (as a seller).
Click Contact or Message (or similar) on the listing.
Write your message — For buyers: say what you’re interested in, ask questions, or propose a time to meet. For sellers: reply to inquiries clearly and promptly.
Send — The other person will get a notification and can reply in their TimeFotos inbox.

Inbox — Usually in the top bar or menu (envelope or message icon). All your marketplace and other conversations appear here.
From a listing — On your own listing you’ll see new messages; you can also open the conversation from the listing page.

Be clear — State what you’re interested in, your question, or when you can meet.
Reply promptly — Quick responses help sales and build trust.
Keep it on the platform — Use TimeFotos messaging until you’re comfortable. Avoid sharing personal contact details with strangers too early.
Stay safe — If someone is pushy, asks for payment outside the platform, or seems suspicious, stop the conversation and report them. See How to report a listing or user.

TimeFotos will not ask you to pay via gift cards, wire transfer, or other untraceable methods.
Be cautious if someone wants to move the conversation off the platform immediately or asks for money before you’ve met or received the item.
