Timestamp photos and jobsite documentation
TimeFotos is built so that every jobsite photo can include date, time, GPS location, and weather conditions at the moment of capture. That makes your photos reliable proof for inspections, insurance, QA, and disputes.
What’s captured with each photo
When you take or upload a photo in the TimeFotos app (or in a project that uses timestamp data), the system can record:
- Date and time — When the photo was taken.
- GPS coordinates — Where it was taken (tied to the job address when you’re at the project).
- Job address — The project/job the photo belongs to.
- Weather context — Weather at capture time when available (e.g. for damage or condition documentation).
All of this is stored with the photo and tied to the job, so you have a clear record for:
- Inspections and punch lists
- Insurance and claims
- Quality control and disputes
- Client updates and progress reports
Where timestamp photos live
- In the app — Use the TimeFotos mobile app to capture photos on site. They sync to the same project (job) on the web so you have one set of jobsite documentation.
- In Project Albums — On the web, open Project Albums → select the job → Photos. You’ll see the photos for that job; timestamp and location data are part of each photo’s metadata where supported.
Best practices
- Capture on site — Take photos at the job when possible so date, time, and location are accurate.
- Keep projects by address — Use one project per job address so every photo is tied to the right job.
- Use for before/after — Timestamped before-and-after sets are strong proof and great for portfolios and client share links.
App vs web
- TimeFotos app (iOS and Android) — Full timestamp, GPS, and weather at capture; syncs to your projects. Available for download on the App Store and Google Play. Geared toward service field pros who’ve upgraded.
- Web — View and organize photos, create estimates, work orders, invoices, and client share links. Project albums and CRM are on the web; the app is your best tool for capturing timestamped jobsite photos.
