How to use the Workboard
The Workboard is your task list for a job. It’s tied to a project (job address), so all tasks for that project stay in one place — no scattered to-dos or lost notes.
Where to find the Workboard
-
From a project
Open the project from Project Albums, then open the Workboard tab or Workboard link for that project. You’ll see tasks only for this job. -
From the main Workboard
If your workspace has a Workboard in the menu, you can open it to see tasks across projects. Use filters or project names to focus on one job.
What you can do
- Add tasks — Create a task with a title and optional description. Assign it to a due date or leave it open.
- Organize by status — Move tasks through columns or statuses (e.g. To do, In progress, Done) so you and your team see what’s next.
- Tie to the job — Every task is linked to a project. When you’re on the project, you see only that job’s tasks.
Why use it?
- One place per job — Tasks live with the project, so when you open the job you see photos, documents, estimates, work orders, invoices, and tasks together.
- No lost to-dos — Unlike a generic to-do app, the Workboard is job-based. When the job is done, the tasks stay in the project for reference.
- Team visibility — If you work with a crew, they can see and update tasks for the same project (depending on your plan and permissions).
Tips
- Create tasks for phases of the job (e.g. “Rough-in”, “Inspection”, “Final cleanup”) so progress is clear.
- Use the Workboard together with team chat per job — decisions in chat, actionable items as tasks.
