Export and Save
Your work is saved as a Structure Canvas file (.bdf) that you download and reopen when needed. You can also export as DXF (for CAD), or the current view or a full sheet as PNG or PDF for sharing or permits.
Saving your project (.bdf)
Use "Save" (Save Structure Canvas project) to download a .bdf file. The file contains your background (if any), calibration, work area, all shapes, text, and layers. Name the project in the toolbar before saving so the filename is meaningful. Nothing is stored on our servers—the file is only on your device.
Opening a project
Use "Open" (Open Structure Canvas project) and select a .bdf file from your computer. The designer loads that project; you can continue editing and save again (download a new file). If you have unsaved changes, you may be prompted before opening another project or starting new.
Export DXF, PNG, and PDF
Export DXF for CAD software; export PNG or PDF for the current drawing (with optional background, title block, scale bar, North arrow). For PDF/PNG, choose paper size (Letter, Legal, Tabloid) and orientation. The result is suitable for permits, client handoff, or printing. PNG is a single image; PDF is vector-friendly for scaling.
Export options
In the export dialog you can set project name, date, client, address, and toggle scale bar and North arrow. What you see in the designer (visible layers, work area) is what gets exported. Turn off measurements in the View menu if you do not want dimension labels on the export.
