How It Works
Everything is drawn in real-world feet. You pan and zoom over that space like a camera. All processing and storage happen in your browser.
World coordinates (feet)
The canvas is an infinite drawing space in feet. Shapes and text are stored in feet. When you set a work area or calibrate from a survey, the app converts pixels to feet so measurements stay accurate.
Camera (pan and zoom)
Pan with the Hand tool, right-mouse drag, or Space + drag. Zoom with the mouse wheel or zoom controls. Use Fit to Work Area, Fit to Background, or Go to 0,0 to jump to a known view.
Layers and phases
The designer has layers that match phases: Survey / Background (uploaded image), House Planner (walls, doors, windows), Custom Shapes, Deck / Dock Planner, Assets, and Markup. Each phase has its own tools and panel. Lock the survey so it does not move when you pan. See Documentation by phase for each phase in detail.
Calibration
Click two points on your survey and enter the real distance (e.g. 20 ft). The app then converts pixels to feet. See Upload & Calibrate Scale.
Save and export
Save as a Structure Canvas file (.bdf) (download). Export DXF, PNG, or PDF. See Export & Save.
