Documentation by phase
Assets
The Assets phase lets you place symbol instances from the Component Library onto your plan: furniture, fixtures, appliances, trees, and other elements. Assets are placed at a point and can be rotated; they live on the Assets layer and scale with your drawing.
What this phase does
Select Assets from the phase dropdown. The right panel shows:
- Component Library — Categories of placeable symbols (e.g. furniture, outdoor, fixtures)
- Placement — Click a symbol to select it, then click on the canvas to place an instance
- Edit — Select placed assets to move, rotate, or delete; use the same Copy/Paste/Lock tools as in Custom Shapes when the Assets layer is active
Placing assets
In the library, click a symbol (or expand a category and pick one). The tool switches to place mode. Click on the canvas where you want the symbol; an instance is created at that point. You can place multiple instances of the same symbol. Switch back to Select to move or rotate them.
Color vs. monochrome
In the View section of the toolbar you can toggle Asset Colors between Color and B&W. Color shows symbols in their design colors; B&W renders them in black and white for cleaner prints or low-ink export.
